Life throws unexpected challenges at us and we often feel we are expected to be strong but sometimes we just need some help. Whether it is the death of a loved one, illness, the loss of a job, life changes such as divorce, moving home or retirement, the list is endless, we are not always able to cope in the way we want to.

Grief is an evolving experience and everyone handles death in different ways and when someone close to you dies, you may feel overwhelmed and unable to concentrate; you may have to push through your day as you go to work or look after your family, you may feel numb and empty. These are all very natural responses with emotional suffering. It is not something we necessarily recover from but we may benefit from support to adjust to the new life we have.

How can therapy and education help manage loss, grief and bereavement?

I am a Certified Edu-Therapy Specialist. In training to become an Edu-Therapy Specialist we experience the process ourselves which I found life changing. Edu-Therapy is a combination of education and treatment components in eight modules taken over 8 - 10 sessions (according to need). It is a solution-oriented process to help you rediscover your ability to fully experience your life. We may have sadness and pain in our lives but we deserve a good life and this process helps us to find the life we want.

Hypnotherapy along with NLP and other gentle techniques can help you cope better with grief and loss, and help you reach the stage where the memories of your loved one or your loss can be enjoyed without the attached pain. Together we find the calm and peace, allowing you to process your grief at a pace that’s right for you and help you live the life that you want.

If you would like to take your first step and have a chat, please get in touch and we can book an initial consultation.
