We start having periods and we finish having periods! It is all part of the ageing process. Twelve months after our last period is considered to be menopause – just one day. So very rarely do we know when we have reached menopause day! Other than that we start at puberty, then start our periods. Premenopause (puberty to late 30’s) is when we have regular periods during the reproductive years and then Perimenopause (late 30’s to the year after periods stop) when there is so much unpredictability.
